Is the name Euclid University or Euclid University extension?

The official name of the extension consortium is Pôle d'Extension Universitaire Euclide. This could be conveniently be translated as "Euclid University", but this short version may convey the impression that Euclid is a free standing institution having its own charter. Because this is not the case, the name "Euclid University Extension" or "Euclid University Consortium" is normally used to make it clear that Euclid is primarily the approved extension of the UNDT (N'Djamena University) and UBRC (University of Bangui). Both are national public institutions under direct governmental oversight.

No degree is or can be issued by the authority or under the name of Euclid University. All degrees are issued upon completion of well defined programs by the universities who form the Euclid University Consortium. "Euclid University Extension" is the authorized extension of the member institutions.
